This is a similar story to my blog post about the old van I discovered on the outskirts of my village. I've known we used to have a nursery on the way in to the village but until I looked on Bing maps I hadn't realised the scale of the place. There's a gap in the bush on the main road so I hopped in and was amazed at what was in there. A building containing an old boiler of some sort, then the main greenhouses themselves which are huge. Virtually all of the glass in the roof was still intact so I didn't feel in any danger of it falling on me whereas the side walls had hardly any glass left in them, I'm sure in part due to local kids. After I'd been in there a while a pane of glass fell out on the other side to where I was and made me jump out of my skin but I carried on taking photos after composing myself. This was only the second time I'd used the Fuji X10 and conditions were harsh due to the bright sunshine (yes, sunshine!) so the shots aren't great but it's an enjoyable camera to use. I'm struggling a little with the RAW's in Lightroom but I'll get there.
Anyway enough rambling from me, there's 30 pictures below. Wonder if I have the nerve to go back at night? Oh and before you ask, no I wasn't brave enough to open the briefcase…
